About me
It was only by chance that I went to the Queer Spirit Festival in 2017. I generally go to the Buddhafield Festival every year but that year it clashed with two Circle Dance events I'd already committed to, so I looked around for another festival with a similar openness, a similar vibe and a spiritual dimension, and one where I could go naked - something I'm used to doing at Buddhafield. And I found Queer Spirit. It changed me completely.

Although I regarded myself as bisexual, I'd not been to an LGBTQ+ festival before and I didn't know quite what to expect. But as soon as I got to the festival site I felt like I'd come home.

The Festival blended spirituality, sexuality and ecology into a wonderful, all-embracing philosophy and way of being - a kind of queer paganism for the modern world - and sex was celebrated as something wonderful and sacred. It was a philosophy that really appealed to me, and I embraced it wholeheartedly.

Many of the festivalgoers called themselves Faeries, and I saw a reflection of myself in them. (Hey, they're like me! I'm like them!) I knew that I'd found my tribe, and I saw my true queer nature clearly for the first time. I suddenly realised my nonbinariness too, something that had been staring me in the face for some time but I'd been blind to.

My relationship to sex changed overnight. I surprised myself by my total lack of inhibition as I entered the Sacred Sexuality Temple for the first time, unconcernedly undressed once inside, and readily welcomed the invitation of two guys I'd never met before to engage in sex play and oral and anal sex.

And I fell in love. The love affair was all too brief but it was unforgettable, and my lover will always have a special place in my heart.

Since Queer Spirit, I have been to many Faerie and Queer Spirit events, including Faerie Gatherings in Glastonbury, a Retreat, two Love Rites and a number of Drum Circles in London where I have danced naked to the hypnotic rhythms of the drums. I also want to take part in Drum Circles as a drummer; I now have my own Djembe, which I am currently learning to play.

Covid-19 imposed on me an unwelcome and frustrating solitude and celibacy, and I am glad that I am now able to rejoin a newly burgeoning Faerie/Queer Spirit world once again.

I love the Faerie/Queer Spirit all-embracing philosophy and I feel blest that I can go naked at so many events. I am myself, pure and simple, in mind, body and spirit, when I am naked. And it has given rise to my Faerie name of Naked Angel. When I'm feeling regal, I'm Andromeda, Queen of the Naked Angels.

Thanks to QS17, I've made many beautiful friends and enjoyed sharing their company, sometimes intimately, a privilege and a joy that I treasure.

I want to thank everybody for making me so welcome, and I hope to remain part of your World for many years to come.
